I was once high.
Now I’m low.
The sky was the limit.
Now the ground is where I’m headin’.
How do I know?
My stomach tells me so.
Tingling. Churning. Twisting.
The ground is where I’m going to land.
I’ll tell you how I know.
My eyes tell me so.
Falling. Floating. Flailing.
The world is passing me by.
Didn’t I tell you?
I was once pretty high.
But not anymore,
I’m heading for the floor.
The bottom is my destination.
The same place where I started.
Back to square one.
I’m done.
Don’t jump! Oh wait, too late.

Yea..we all go back where we came from …into a nothing we do not even remember…only getting there might make you feel blue.

Is this the comment that vanished? I had that happen before — it’s very irritating!
Just like Candy Land, right? You think you’re going to win, then, for reasons out of your control — you’re back to the starting position. I hate that game.

The first thing I thought, too, was crashing from a high?

You mean, like, being ripped out of my gourd? Haha — I can see how someone can interpret that, but no — the poem illustrates being at the top of your game, then documents the crash, for whatever reason.

Oh God, I’m having college weekend flashbacks…

Hmmm…there seems to be a glitch with your comments! I always receive the notification many hours later — I’ll have to troubleshoot the problem, but I don’t think the issue is on my end. It could be WordPress.
I hope the flashbacks reminded you of fantastic memories! Haha.

I haven’t received notifications concerning re-blogs, some comments, and when someone links to my blog. I have to manually check my notifications and make sure I didn’t miss anything, which sucks.

Yeah, me too. I had to manual check just now, myself. 😡
