Just a blur.
Just a dash.
Lightning fast!
Here I go!
Ziz-zag, zip- zap,
Always enough breath for another lap,
I’ll never be last,
Lightning fast!
Always on time.
Never late.
Don’t need a watch.
Always early.
Never call me crass.
I’m fuckin’ lightning fast!
Here and there.
Everywhere.
Travel is no big deal.
See?
I’m already here.
Gone.
Back again.
Gone.
No chance to harass.
Lightning fast!
Don’t try to chase.
You don’t stand a chance.
You already lost.
The race is won.
You never passed.
Lightning fast!
‘Light’ in its every shape and form is always a hot topic. Light is essential for us humans, light is like love..without it we wither and perish. Good post, your poems welling up as fast as light can travel!

Thanks! Humans need light to photosynthesize emotions. I just made that up…but I wish it was true.

That is a brilliant thought , and I certainly think there is some truth in it as there are folk who suffer from SAD and a special daylight bulb can help to cheer them up. I see the time of my original post comes up as 6.13 am!!!! Still fast asleep then! it’s the time difference twixt you and me …I know. Oh Request..Talk to us please about the dark subject of a ‘blood moon’ coming up on the 28th ..how come..do you get one too?You must ..or???

I think it’s called seasonal disorder, right? I remember reading about those special lights. My time zone is EST, so I think there is a time difference between our locations.
I’ll write a post about the upcoming blood moon, but keep in mind: the media tends to hyper-exaggerate astronomical events. Don’t be surprised if the blood moon turns out to be pretty mundane! Haha.

Reminds me of the Road Runner. Very cartoon-ish and silly! I like it 😀

Thanks! I love it when my work is compared to a cartoon — it means I did something right!

I know you don’t care about spellcheck, but your two last “lightning” read “lighting”…just thought you’d like to know, cuz I think your poem will read better if fixed (IMO).

Thanks for letting me know! I would of never seen that error — and every future reader would have eternally branded me a moron.
I appreciate the warning!

Not a moron; just human! I expect the same if I were to make a mistake; which isn’t often, but it does happen 😀
